Before Sunrise

Your morning begins before dawn with pickup from your lodge or camp in the Serengeti and transfer to the balloon launch site.

As the crew prepares the balloon, the sky begins to brighten over the plains and you receive a short safety briefing before boarding.

Lift Off

The balloon rises as the sun begins to appear over the Serengeti.

Depending on the wind and terrain, the pilot may fly higher for sweeping panoramic views or lower over the plains, giving you a closer perspective of the landscape below.

From the basket, you may see wildlife moving across the savannah, including wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, elephant and other animals depending on where the flight takes you.

One Hour Over the Wild

The flight typically lasts around one hour, although the exact route and landing point are determined by the wind.

There is no fixed road and no predetermined path. That is part of the magic. Each flight reveals a different part of the Serengeti.

Landing & Bush Breakfast

After landing, celebrate the morning before enjoying breakfast in the bush.

You are then transferred back to your lodge or camp, often with additional wildlife viewing along the way.
