On our Tanzania camping safaris you will be immersed in really Tanzania wilderness. You will travel on rough adventurous roads, pass tiny rural settlements and see fascinating landscapes and abundant wildlife.
All your senses will be involved; from smelling early morning coffee, experiencing the thrill of a kill to the chill of a morning game drive. Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The safari experience is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle’ of it all. The nearness to the nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Leave Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first game drive. Known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and wildlife-rich river valleys, Tarangire is a powerful introduction to northern Tanzania. Spend the day exploring the park before continuing to your public campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel toward Lake Manyara National Park for a day of game viewing. Explore its varied scenery, from groundwater forest and open plains to the lake itself, while looking for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, monkeys and abundant birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing to your campsite in the evening.

Overnight: Twiga Public Campsite

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, begin the journey toward Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape gradually opens into the vast plains of the Serengeti, with game viewing along the way as you travel toward the Seronera area. Arrive in time for an evening game drive before settling into camp.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife areas. Follow the open plains in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and large herds of grazing animals. With a full day available, there is time to explore different habitats and enjoy an unhurried safari experience before returning to camp.
Overnight: Serengeti Seronera Public Campsite
Meals: Full Board
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Start early with a morning game drive, a beautiful time to experience the Serengeti as the plains come alive around sunrise. After breakfast, continue game viewing before leaving the Serengeti and travelling toward Ngorongoro. Arrive at the crater rim later in the day and settle into your campsite surrounded by the cool highland atmosphere.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Simba Public Campsite
Meals: Full Board
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for your final game drive. The crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, hippos and, with luck, black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before ascending the rim and driving back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
